Letters to our Legislators
Letters to our Legislators As the voice of the local business
community, the Chamber takes an active role in legislative issues. The
Chamber's Business Issues & Public Policy Committee identifies
and acts on key issues of interest to Mountain View businesses. Areas
of focus include local, state and federal legislative issues, as well
as business and industry related issues such as transportation,
development, environmental health & safety, regulation and
business trends. The committee makes recommendations to the Chamber
Board of Directors for official adoption. The committee also informs
and educates membership and members of the Mountain View community on
key issues through topical forums, written communications, and
publicity. Check out the links below to view some of our recent
positions.
As a member of the Santa Clara County
Chambers of Commerce Coalition, the Mountain View Chamber stays
actively involved in regional issues-- ensuring that our members are
heard at this level as well.
Annually, a
contingency of Chamber members takes a visit to Sacramento to meet with
our state legislators in order to discuss our priorities and
communicate issues important to our members. For more information,
