Krista Canfield
In January 2008, Krista joined
LinkedIn as the company's PR Manager. At LinkedIn, Krista supports
strategic and day-to-day management for internal and external
communications. She performs media relations and drives positive
coverage in target verticals including broadcast, consumer,
ad/marketing trade and career/HR press.
Prior to LinkedIn, Krista was a Senior Account Executive with the Horn
Group, a strategic communications firm specializing in PR and digital
marketing for high technology companies.
Before she began her career in PR, Krista worked as a
television news reporter for NBC affiliate KDLT in Sioux Falls,
South Dakota.
During her time at KDLT, Krista covered and reported live on daily news
such as Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle’s campaign for
re-election against former Representative John Thune, tornadoes, police
chases, fires, feature pieces and even former Congressman Bill
Janklow's manslaughter trial (which was picked up by CNN). Krista also
covered the local TV news at WSTM (another NBC affiliate) in Syracuse, New
York and served as an on-air radio personality and
News Director for WJPZ FM/Z89.1 (also located in Syracuse).
She earned her B.S. with a dual major in both Broadcast Journalism and
Finance from Syracuse University.
