Mapping your steps for your business, creating a check list together and figuring out what’s next on the list to do. Owning your own business means being creative but no need to reinvent the wheel there is a million resources for you and the chamber can help and so can VA’s.

Some ideas:

• Build your web/blog site; optimize it using Tags, Meta Tags, submit to local directories online and any free online directories
• Create a product give-away (aka: Pink Spoon Marketing) to build a list on your website using Aweber, or Constant Contact or 1shoppingcart
• Blog 2 times per week; publish on Twitter, Technorait, Digg, Facebook, etc.
• Sign up for affiliate marketing products that complement your business or services (earn commission for sales)
• Set up paypal account to link to affiliate programs
• Look into Private label rights (PLR) as a way to develop an existing product but tailor it to your style, words, etc. and sell it online
• Network, Help someone each week (offer encouragement, make a positive yet truthful statement about someone's book, article, etc.
• Submit an article once a week, sign up at articlebased.com or other article marketing sites (free)
• Manage and maintain your office expenses, files, etc. (outsource to a Virtual Assistant or Personal Assistant)
• Use a reputation manager, set up google alerts, twitter alerts for your name, business name, etc. and nip negative comments in the bud.
