Name: Get to Know Peninsula Open Space Trust
    Date: August 20, 2021
    Time: 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM PDT
    Event Description:
Join us for an in-depth, overview of Peninsula Open Space Trust (POST)! Whether you are a new or longtime supporter, this presentation will give you an inside look at the intricacies of our work as an accredited land trust with a mission to protect open space, farms and parkland for the benefit of all in our region. We’ll start with a little bit about POST’s history, leading to a discussion of our goals and the frameworks and tools we use to accomplish them, as well as how we seek to address equity throughout this work. Next, we’ll describe how we work with diverse partners – from public agencies, nonprofits, private landowners, event to local tribes and farmers – to make progress on many intersectional issues, projects and community needs simultaneously. Finally, we’ll share examples of projects that illustrate our main program areas including Public Access, Redwood Forests, Wildlife Linkages and Farmland, as well as examples of priority conservation areas such as Coyote Valley. While POST regularly shares news about each of our many exciting projects, we hope this event helps to definitively answer the question, “What is POST and what does POST do?”. We look forward to sharing more about what we are accomplishing together thanks to the generous support of our community!
