445th Military Government Company was activated 15 October 1950 at Oakland California. Re-designated on 16 September 1992 as the 445th Civil Affairs Battalion, consisting of Headquarter and Headquarters Company, Alpha Company, Bravo Company, Charlie Company, and Delta Company. The unit moved to Mountain View, CA 1 April 1995. The entire Battalion has deployed twice since September 11, 2001, and many of its Soldiers have been individual pulled to other deploying units across the United States.
